Hello! My name is Bambi Jo. I am in my thirty's and have recently moved from California to Washington. I am new to selling my art but not new to painting. Painting has been an important outlet for me, sense my early teen years. My Father is also an artist, He is the one who I give credit to today for my skills. He used oils, I chose watercolors...less messy! I first started painting horses, of course. Then I begin to experiment...I started trying landscapes, flowers, houses and trees. My itch for painting had to be scratched! I painted a lot! Now I am trying to get my name out there a bit and see what happens! Nowadays paintings are few and far in-between...maybe selling a few pieces is what i need to get motivated again, we'll see! ~I have been in love with horses sense childhood and begin painting them in my early teen years. I owe much of my life lessons to a horse...
I can only make prints of this one, but it is signed by me and my Mother is the one who has the original...she was the one who asked me a few years back to paint her something that looked a bit like my first Arabian, "Quasar" and this is what I came up with. It took me a few months, I painted with two toddler boys running about my feet. It did not take as long as I expected...once I am in the "mood" to paint....it just flows along. This painting does indeed capture the Spirit and love that I had seen in Quasars eyes...a love that i have not known sense he passed just last year. He was an incredible teacher in my younger years, him being only two and I just twelve. I always wanted to show others the love I had seen and I think this is as close as I am ever going to get. By the way i am new at this and wanted to include that the typed name you see on the painting will not show up on the prints that I sell. Thank you & God bless, ~Bambi
This is an original in watercolor and on paper. It is one of my larger paintings...20 inches by 15 inches. I can make a print if you like or I am willing to sell the original as well. This one took me a few years to finish! I had to get the courage up to keep working on it and eventually get it done!
This is another watercolor on paper...another fairly large one, at least for me. This one is inspired by a picture of a mustang, but with my twist and love for the finer mussel of the Arabian. Kind of a fantasy war pony from my imagination!
I am only able to make prints of this one, it was also an original of mine, watercolor on paper. I can get any size you like! This one is just a simple war horse with his courage feather.
