I find myself drawn to the tiniest nuances that make our visual world so fascinating and real…distortions through glass, shadows on curled petals, textures of food. I want to bring alive the beauty of these gems in the visual world. The sparkle of sunlight dancing on a crystal vase always captures my attention - the fleeting beauty of reflections and transparencies in everyday objects around us.

As a hyperrealist painter, my paintings all share a passion for this detail – nature, glass, food and floral offer so much wonderful detail to explore! Watercolor gives me the unique opportunity to build up transparent layers to capture texture, translucency and bold color in various surfaces. I strive for a contemporary feel to this traditional medium.
