Eu Oy Chun

Location: Singapore

Born in Hong Kong but now a Singapore citizen, Eu Oy Chun completed her higher education at the University of Singapore with a BSc. After dabbling in photography and Chinese brush painting for many years, in 2008, she went under the tutelage of an internationally renowned contemporary Artist Master Ren Jianhui to hone her skills in Western Art.

In 2019 Artwork ‘Warmth’ has been awarded First Place for the “Animals” International Art Competition by Art Room Gallery.
At the invitation of the curatorial board of the XIIth Florence Biennale 2019, she exhibited 2 paintings at the Biennale.
She was awarded a Finalist Certificate for the Circle Foundation for the Arts (CFA) Artist of the Year Award and Grant 2018-2019.
She participated in the London Art Biennale 2019.
3 pieces of her artworks have been displayed on a billboard hanging over Times Square, New York by Yan Huang Jiu Zhou Wen Hua Yi Shu Jia Liu Zhong Xin, Beijing.
In 2018, she received a Special Mention for Merit in the ‘Italia Award ‘ for her 2 artworks exhibited in the Chianciano Art Museum Biennale held in Tuscany, Italy.
She also exhibited in Toronto, Cananda for the "Water for Life", International Art Exhibition.
In 2017, she won third place in an online “Still Life “Art contest organised by International Gallery of the Arts, Canada.

She has since been recognised as a local and international artist with numerous other awards. Her works have appeared in group exhibitions, featured in art publications and collected privately both here and abroad. She was also invited to publish her works in two local Singapore Coffee Table Books – “Footprints on An Island, Rediscovering Pulau Ubin” in 2016 and “Flying Sleeves” in 2018.
