Sally Phillips was born and raised on the West
Coast of California. She studied in the Art Department
at UCLA before taking off to travel across the
United States and Europe. While Sally was designing
for her own company, Market Street Design, she
began photographing her subjects, then working
in pastel to create a rich and vibrant image.
In the 90s Sally moved to Kauai and began to
combine her photography with pastels again,
creating a beautiful, soft focus look .
Her subjects were the skies above her, the ocean
and land as they meet and create a never ending ,
ever changing parade of colors and shapes.
