I am an Italian artist, self-taught, with a passion for capturing the details of everyday life—those fragments we often overlook but, when observed closely, reveal a unique beauty. I currently live in Lisbon, where I continue to develop my artistic work, after attending an art high school in Italy. Now in my late twenties, I am exploring and expanding my vision through traditional portraits and my personal project, "Portraits of Hands", which I am pursuing with great enthusiasm.
I believe that hands can communicate emotions, thoughts, and stories even more intensely than a face or words. Through my work, I aim to capture this silent yet powerful language. Charcoal is my favorite medium because it allows me to add an emotional, expressive touch to even the most realistic pieces.
Drawing hands allows me to explore a unique language, capable of conveying deep emotions and stories that often escape a face or words. The hands, with their form and movement, tell more directly and intensely what is often left unspoken in other ways.
A moment suspended in flow, where the hands, immersed in water, seem to embrace the light slipping between their fingers. A simple, everyday gesture transformed into a symbol of connection between the body, water, and light.
An intimate connection captured in a simple gesture: a hand gently caressing the tail of a Pug, embodying affection and bond. The contrast of white and black charcoal on blue paper enhances the quiet tenderness of this shared moment.
