Ulises is originally from Mexico City and currently creates art in Houston Texas.

He graduated from Northbrook High School where his art instructor and mentor; Terry Tata was instrumental in fueling his passion for art.

He was accepted to Savannah School of Art and Design in 2004. That same year he visited the Menil Museum with Ms. Tata and was instantly inspired to pursue art as a career after seeing Magritte's paintings for the first time. He fondly looks back on that day as one of his favorite and most transformative
days of his life.
