My name is Matthew Barrios A.K.A. Muir. I am a self taught artist from Tucson,Az. And I've been doing some type of art my whole life whether it'd be music or drawing, ect. though, I started painting about 5 years ago and have been relentlessly painting ever since.

my feelings towards this painting is much that of the fellings of rebirth, emeging from the weight of the ocean of knowing, refocused & recharged with your heart where your mind is.. in your most perfect form.
Purge to me, is knowing, then it's taking the frist step.
This means to me.. "This is the sad state of our reality that we have created so far that we have allowed the existence of this being even a possibility of a real outcome of our future. My only hope is that it can be observed as a reminder of how much better off we will be when we turn to LOVE for The Answers instead of Hate or Violence."
This piece, in my frame of mind while i was painting it.. i found myself compleltey submerged in a whirl wind of swirling thoughts of what i thought reality was made up of and what it really was. . blown away i felt how my trust was broken.
...this one speaks for it's self.
The painting "Vessels" to me. . is the act of becoming fully aware of something as a fact, such as death.
another reminder of an ending that doesn't have to be.. bitter sweet.
The piece "Time Flys" is kind of in a sense my respect for the artist "dali" and his "melting clocks"
meditation is the path to enlightment.
"Lost in Thought" is the moment when you find yourself effortlessly submerged into concepts, ultimately leading you to your own intrepretation of your place among the stars.
"Naked" is pulling back the layers of your conciousness to reveal your soul. It's knowing your true nature.. know you make up a piece to this great powerful place. .We call Reality.
"Yellow" is one of those paintings that speaks for its self.
"Golden" represents the light you see when youre at your darkest moment.There is always something good if you perceive it to be that way.. Light will always conquer the dark.
