John Gamache

John's currently painting with oils on linen, producing landscapes, still life's, portraits and vintage classic auto's.
His work is traditional realism in style and the use of natural lighting and how it interacts with the subject is a signature of his work. Letting the sun help him paint his subject is the emotional ingredient needed for the final outcome.

John sometimes works with antique boxes and places the scape's he creates inside, painted on wood and cut in layer's so the landscape recedes in perspective to give a 3 dimensional effect. His early training was completed at the Swain School of Design in New Bedford Ma.
He spent 30 plus year's after working as a freelance illustrator for publishing companies, advertising agencies, computer game companies and corporations. Later John worked 14 years as an Art Director, Senior Graphic Designer for a large New England Electronics Corporation.

Within the last several years he has returned to his real passion of fine art, bringing his personal works to the public.

Statement

"Johns goal is to create and master his craft, not just in the painting but in the feelings he tries to instill to the viewer. Eliciting an emotional reaction makes the piece and his goal complete as a work of art he states.

Communicating on a visual emotional level is akin to how music touches your spirit, your very soul, it brings you
life. Creating art for John, is like eating and breathing, He has to do it. Its meditation for his psyche.”
