Joanna focuses on portrait / figurative painting, with an emphasis on emotion and subtle expression. She has years of experience as a graphic designer and illustrator, creating commissioned work for clients and creative projects.
Her work explores both traditional and experimental media, including oil, alcohol inks, egg tempera, gouache, acrylics, and watercolor, often combining them in unconventional ways.
She holds a BFA in Illustration with a minor in Art History from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York, graduating with the highest honors (SCL). She also completed studies in Publicity Design in Lima and a Graphic Design Specialization at California Institute of the Arts.
