Emilia García was born in Los Angeles, CA and raised in the small town of Piru, CA. In 1996, it was her grandmother's death that drove her to leave the corporate world and immerse herself in her artwork.
Since then, she has achieved much success, participating in both national and international exhibitions. Ms. García paints soulful portraits that express her dynamic cultural heritage and blends the rich artistic legacy of Mexico with a striking contemporary aesthetic. Ms. García deftly translates this artistic style to contemporary portraiture, crafting moving depictions of figures from past and present. Her paintings have been featured in numerous magazines, highlighted on television shows, and spotlighted as cover artwork in several publications.
