Biography:

Kyung Ja Kim was born and raised in Seoul, Korea. As a hard working business woman, she started her own business in 1970. Over the years, she put herself in various business fields like running boutique, manufacturing artistic furniture, exporting fashion jewelries designed by her through other countries and many other. She spent a lot of her time creating and making items using her ideas. It seems like it was obvious how she got into this path. She was surrounded by art all along.

Being an artist is her life passion before and now. It was more clear when she sent her four daughters to United States to study art and music in 1991. Her daughters shared knowledge of art and gave her advices with her paintings when she visited them. It made her keep learning and building more knowledge. Her life as an artist strongly started when she finally settled down in United States in 2002. It has never stopped ever since.

Her paintings mostly show nature. The nature is one of the best thing that makes her to bring out her creativity and moves her emotions. She focuses to make those ordinary things to look and feel special on her canvas. She gives effort to not only reflect the outer images of nature but also bring the sounds, the scents and the essence of its inner beauty of what she paints. That is why she spends a lot of her time to find better way to emphasize the feelings to her paintings. To do that, having two different cultures are definitely become best source. Most of her works have been done in oil and recently she started to work on new collections of mixed media. She received great compliments on her artworks being detail and real from her clients and peer artists. Also, She’s been actively participating on juried and invitational exhibitions to shares and represents her works through the group of people who loves art and to improve herself as an artist.
Her passion for art is ongoing and will be continue as long as she can paint. She's always thankful to the viewers who give her the support and love to her paintings.
