A native of Albufeira, Portugal, in addition to painting and sculpture, he explores other aspects of art, such as ceramics, photography, equipment design, interiors and advertising.

Júlio Antão is one of the founding members and President of Peace and Art Society, Portugal. It is an Honoured Member of the artists initiative "Gogyoshi Art Project International", Holland and executive
Co-Curator of the GAPI exhibitions in Portugal and Spain. Is Honorary Chiarman of the Art Committee of International Culture & Arts Federation, Republic of Korea. Honorary Member in the Nigde Fine Arts Association, Turkey and he was a member of ArtNations, Germany, until its end in December 2016.

In recent years he has exhibited his work in several countries such as Portugal, Spain, Brasil, Belgium, Holland, Macedonia, England, Iran, Republic of Korea and Turkey.

In the various exhibitions and competitions he participated, he achieved awards in painting, sculpture and photography.
