I regard my drawings as Culture/Nature dialectics. After all, we live and work in communities, play in them, love in them; they shape us . . . they give meaning to our lives. My images of communities are vignettes - unique, carefully assembled sonnets. Through them we see ourselves, sometimes at our best but, very often, we don’t look so good.

All are 40.6 x 50.8 cm, (16” x 20”), simulacrums, social narratives; always rendered in black/white - which very ably reflects subject matter in a way that is honest, earthy, and wholly without pretense.
