Deborah LaFogg-Docherty has been painting all of her life, inspired by nature and the environment. She often is out in the field gathering reference for her paintings. To her it’s about coming face to face with some of nature’s most prized possessions — its wild creatures.

She enjoys working in pastels, acrylics and oils. In 2011 she received the Masters Circle award from the International Association of Pastel Societies, a second place award for drawing in a National Wildlife competition and countless other awards this year alone. Her work has been featured in museums, International magazine articles and she has illustrated a children’s book.
