Mixed media Brazilian artist, Leila Bokel lives and works in Rio de Janeiro. She began her career as a painter until a point in her research when she began exploring and experimenting with other forms of expressions, leading to her current practice which deals with a variety of material. Bokel held her first exhibition in 2006 in Rio de Janeiro and has since been actively showing work around Brazil, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and Dortmund, Germany. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Santa Ursula University and took fine art courses at Visual Arts School of Parque Lage, Rio de Janeiro.
