Artistic expression is a way of life for me. I am most engaged when I am feeling guided by the artwork, in other words listening to it. This can feel meditative while at other times it can feel adventurous. I totally enjoy and am grateful for the opportunity and the freedom to create art. And when jurors or art enthusiasts like what I created it is affirming of the connection back to Source.
I began painting using watercolor media. After some time I began more experimentation with painting using acrylic and alcohol ink media. My style and compositions tend to be reflective of nature or special relationships with loved one's caught in a moment of time. These paintings represent journeys I have taken and are an invitation for you to use the art as a "jumping off" point for your own experience or journey. Welcome!

My daughter was born on Valentines day and she has always been bursting with energy, exuberance, and willfulness. This painting was done from a reference photo taken at her day care center and it perfectly captures the joy of the moment.
My daughter wanted a pet and we lived in a condo that didn't allow dogs so her option was to get a cat. I wanted her to feel responsible for her cat so I created the prerequisite that she raise the money to adopt a rescue animal. That amount was sixty dollars. After thinking about it she decided to hold a garage sale and sell her entire Barbie Doll collection. That did the trick and she was able to adopt Tabby!
This is an acrylic painting on watercolor paper.
John and I wanted to rescue a dog. I found two at the Boulder Humane Society that were sisters and had survived challenging beginnings. We didn't want to separate these siblings and so we took them both! They are named Luna and Lexi.
