DANA

Luciana Dana Tarabini, aka DANA, was born in Morbegno (SO), lives in Savona Itay

In the early 1970s she moved to Liguria, first to Borgio Verezzi, then to Savona. Her artistic journey began right here. The blue of the sea, the warm light of the coast and the atmosphere that you breathe there, have fascinated her and are still a source of inspiration for her art.

For Dana, sculpture represents the electively chosen art form. You have instinctively chosen clay from many materials. Amazed by the alchemical processes that take place during the processing phases, she appreciated the charm of her. Earth, fire, air and water combined together have the power to make objects unique and unrepeatable.

Dana attended the School of Ceramics in Urbino and Albisola.

Already a teacher at the Scuola XXV Aprile in Savona, she has combined her teaching activity with the teaching of ceramics, creating a ceramics laboratory within the school.

Her research, based on the constant process of simplification of the form, leads her to shape clean, simple, linear figures, in an attempt to get closer to an increasingly essential sculpture.

Her language reflects her quest for formal synthesis.
