Raymond is a Fort Worth native who attended a week-end glass blowing workshop in 1999. Raymond's fascination with glass as an artistic medium led him to explore and develop his own style of making glass art works.
Following a twenty three year career with a national building controls manufacturer, Raymond resigned in 2011 to pursue his art on a full time basis
He is primarily self-taught, and his exploration in fused and blown glass has resulted in a distinctive style with exciting color patterns and beautiful fluid shapes.
Many of Raymond’s mixed media sculptural works also incorporate welded steel, copper, aluminum and stone. Raymond has gained award winning recognition in a relatively short time.
His award winning art has been shown and sold in several juried exhibitions and is prized by many art collectors
Glass blowing demonstrations are regularly hosted by Raymond for Students from local school districts, as well as the general public. Raymond serves on the artists’ advisory committee for the Main Street Arts Festival and donates his work for many charities including Camp Fire's "Artists Christmas" auction benefitting underprivileged children, "Empty Bowls" event benefitting our local food bank, "Artists’ Against Aids" benefitting Tarrant County Aids Outreach Center, Emergency Artists Support League and others.
Raymond owns and operates Cliff House Studio and Gallery in Fort Worth, Texas along with his wife, contemporary ceramic artist Pamela Summers and their dog Isabel.
