Brenda McKinney was born in Beliot, Wisconsin and lives in Carrollton, Texas. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in fashion design from the University of North Texas with a minor in marketing. She later attained a Master of Fine Arts degree in painting from Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas.
After spending many years in the fashion industry Brenda changed her direction to focus on fine art with a concentration in painting. As of late her interests have broadened and she explores ways to create art in unconventional ways.
Brenda has taken many workshops in various mediums and continues to study fine art.
A series of work that described the events in my life during 2013. I used mixed medium to create each collage and sealed it with epoxy resin.
A series of work that focuses on the use of altered papers arranged in ways to emphasize the random textures created by the solvent.
