Anke's paintings are filled with rich and vibrant colors, varied depths and striking lines.Her work integrates the chaos, connection and close proximity absorbed from her travels around the world and her European roots.
Born and raised in Germany and after moving to the United States in 1979, she finally returned to her dream of painting full time.
Her digitally manipulated images eventually find their way on to the canvas, enable her paintings to turn into optical illusions on may different levels.
