Born in Holland, the home of the Dutch masters, Adrian knew he would be an artist at age 5 when he saw Rembrant’s Nightwatch in the Rijksmuseum. Sketching, drawing and painting dominated his childhood. Early teachers recognized and encouraged his blossoming talent.
Adrian’s pen and ink work was published in several newspapers while he was still in high school. He sold his first painting even before graduating from the Ontario College of Art. Since then, he has focused on creating fine art by developing a wide range of techniques and using varied media. Over the years he has developed several series of themed work, including Bears and Bulls, Children Alone, Whimsical a la Fellini, The Door Series, Flowers Up Close and Personal, as well a very dynamic series of landscapes and abstracts.
Adrian’s most recent painting, Beethoven and the Immortals, is designed to be reproduced as prints and giclees for the musical masses who hear the spiritual message in classical music, especially Beethoven.
