Nature – from the beginning – has been my Muse.
Art is a vehicle for me to tap into the flow and breath (and breadth!) of the universe.
Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, I’ve had a life filled with adventure and the privilege of living close to nature.
This has been instrumental in my approach to creating imagery and exploring the connection between nature, science, and art.
Named for the Muses, my inspiration is driven by an intrinsic
connection and reverence for the natural world with absolute
fascination for the crossroads where science, nature and art intersect.
My belief is that art has the innate quality of transporting people into different realms offering alternate perspectives, creating visceral responses and awakening awareness.
An artist, in some respects, becomes a sort of guide whose visions (works) have the ability to convey the subtle, invisible, and intangible. Altering perception, judgement, and expectations - potentially moving the viewer into a greater intuitive level of understanding and expansion. This has the potential to create deep connection to all living things, moving the world towards greater appreciation for beauty in all its forms and love for each other.
Organic. Abstract. Sensual. Surreal. Vibrant.
