I have been a sculptor and painter a long time. I currently have been working on functional ceramics, mostly hand built. My work is very colorful and draw inspiration from nature without being literal.
Individual bowls vary in size between 9" and 14". They are hand built using cone 6 stoneware, then glazed. Many of them are carved in low relief. The designs are abstract although they derive from nature. They are very colorful. They are unique. Smaller bowls come in sets of 4 or 8 and are appropriate for salads or desserts.
This bowl is approximately 8" across and 5" high. Its main interest is in the interaction of the glazes. The bowl is hand built and the pedestal is thrown on the wheel.

I LOVE MAKING VESSELS OF ALL SORTS. THEY ARE HAND BUILT OF TERRACOTTA OR STONEWARE AND DECORATED WITH GLAZED PATTERNS OR OTHER MEDIA.

I have made many kinds of wall pieces and I usually work in series. Some are terracotta and some stoneware, often incised or carved. Surface treatment varies from traditional glazes to acrylic paints to color pencils. Most have a depth of 1" to 2".
This an experiment and part of a series of pieces meant to suggest textile quilts. It is about 12" x 12" x 1.5" and is can be mounted flush to the wall.
