Alex (Alessandra Lugli) is a self-taught artist who started painting in 2012.
Born in Italy in 1968, she has lived for many years in exotic countries (Africa, Saudi Arabia, etc) and the typical nostalgia for these countries has surely influenced her art, initially.
In her works is a personal search of style, manifested with pictorial techniques and subjects in continuous evolution,
Finally her style becomes more personal: colours are the main instrument to express her art; colours which are always very vibrant together with the use of ahsdw and lights stimulate the observer and invite it to observe the paintingsbothe with the eyes, but also with the heart and the mind.
The idea was to exercice on shades on a black and white image...then my cat jumped and some red colour spilled on the painting.
I intended destroying it; but vefore doing that I decided to have a bit of fun with colours (after all black and white didn't entirely satisfy me) an that's how arabesque was created.
Lots of colours to underline the harmony of a body and present the lights of life.
