FRANCO MOMO (1982) es un artista plástico y músico argentino que expone desde 1994 en su país, Estados Unidos, América Latina y Europa. Ha participado de numerosas exposiciones colectivas e individuales, realizando performances con sus obras pictóricas realizadas con PETRÓLEO CRUDO, RESINAS, PIGMENTOS Y TIERRAS y la música que compone para cada obra.
Coordina a los ARTISTAS DEL MUNDO POR LA PAZ, agrupación sin fines de lucro que realiza exposiciones y publicaciones con dicha temática, para, también, difundir el arte argentino en el exterior y en defensa de la Paz y el Medio Ambiente a través del Arte.
Sus obras, realizadas con su exclusiva técnica, forman parte de colecciones públicas y privadas en Argentina, América, Europa, Asia y Oceanía.
Ha sido invitado, recientemente, a representar a la Argentina en la BIENAL DE FLORENCIA en Italia, Schan Theatre en el Principado de Liechtenstein, BIENAL DE CUENCA en Ecuador y BIENAL DE CHAPINGO y BIENAL DE ARTE CONTEMPORÁNEO, ambas en México. Recibió el PREMIO 2007 “Se hace camino al andar” al JOVEN EMPRENDEDOR y premiado en 2008 por el Museo Ambiental del Gobierno de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires por su obra “Familia y Medio Ambiente”.
En 2009 presentó en la Noche de los Museos de la ciudad de Buenos Aires sus primeras obras de 1m x 1 m colgadas en forma de rombo, en el Museo de la Mujer de CABA.
En Enero 2011 participó (invitado por el Museo Ambiental de la ciudad de Buenos Aires – Agencia de Protección Ambiental – Ministerio de Ambiente y Espacio Público) en el Jardín Botánico Carlos Thays, en la exposición pictórica ¿buenos aires? – La muestra torcida, siendo ésta la primera muestra con obras de 100 x 100 cm. dispuestas en forma de rombo y otras de menores dimensiones colgadas torcidas, simbolizando la inestabilidad del medio ambiente y concientizando sobre la necesidad de la protección del aire de la ciudad.
Comentario de su Obra
Investigador de las culturas precolombinas, genera en su producción pictórica una constante simbiosis entre los signos primitivos y la preponderancia del color dentro de un contexto expresivo, en el que el espacio y la emblematicidad del símbolo predominan.
Artista de proyección internacional, con exposiciones en Argentina, Estados Unidos y Europa, maestro de Bellas Artes, imparte cursos en toda Latinoamérica, se interesa en su obra por las técnicas mixtas y la materia.
Su acentuada pasión por lo natural lo conduce a encontrar los símbolos de la propia reminiscencia americana en la historia de sus pueblos. No cierra los ojos al pasado, porque es consciente de que el futuro depende de esta fidelidad. Emplea óleo, petróleo crudo, tierras y pigmentos de color, buscando la persistencia de la memoria histórica ancestral en sus procedimientos pictóricos. Hilvana, en su creación, su interés por los metales y su proceso de transformación y decantación en sus temáticas más habituales, especificando la importancia de los mismos y de otros materiales que se encuentran en la tierra, encerrados, cobijados en la magmacidad de lo entrañable. Cual chaman moderno, los da a conocer al exterior a través de los signos, que son símbolos, que representan culturas, dioses, almas y personajes que fueron decisivos. Su expresionismo contemporáneo bebe de las fuentes de lo precolombino, para interconectarse con la fortaleza de la proyección de la reconducción neo-expresiva poscontemporánea.

MOMO FRANCO (1982) is an Argentine artist and musician since 1994, exposing his country, America, Latin America and Europe. Has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, performances by his paintings made with crude oil, resin, pigments and lands and the music composed for each work.
Coordinates WORLD ARTISTS FOR PEACE, nonprofit group that organizes exhibitions and publications such issue, for also disseminating Argentine art abroad and in defense of Peace and the Environment through Art.
His works made with his unique technique, are part of public and private collections in Argentina, America, Europe, Asia and Oceania.
He was invited recently to represent Argentina at the Florence Biennale in Italy, Schan Theatre in the Principality of Liechtenstein, Cuenca Biennial in Ecuador and CHAPINGO and BIENNIAL BIENNIAL OF CONTEMPORARY ART, both in Mexico. Received the 2007 "made by walking" Young Entrepreneur and awarded in 2008 by the Environmental Museum of the City Government of Buenos Aires for his "Family and Environment."

In 2011 he was invited by the Environmental museum of Buenos Aires - Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Environmental and Public Space – to participate in the twisted exhibition in the Carlos Thays Botanical Garden, the Hall, Buenos Aires. This exhibition was the first with works measured 100 x 100 cm hanged on the wall forming a diamond, and other works of smaller size, symbolizing the intensity of the environment and making awareness about the necessity to protect the natural air.

He is a researcher of pre-Columbian cultures. He generates, in his pictorial production, a constant symbiosis between primitive signs and the preponderance of colour within an expressive context where space and the emblematic condition of the symbol prevail.
He is an artist of international renown, with exhibitions in Argentina, the United States of America and Europe. He is a teacher of Fine Arts; he gives courses in all Latin America. In his work, he is interested in mixed techniques and the material.
His marked passion for what is natural leads him to find symbols of the American reminiscent in the history of his people. He does not shut his eyes on the past, because he is conscious that the future depends on this fidelity. He uses oil painting, crude oil, earths and pigments of colours searching for the persistence of the ancestral historic memory with his pictorial procedure. He puts together in his creation his interest in metals and his transformation decanting processes in his habitual themes, specifying their importance and the importance of other materials which are found in the earth, locked, sheltered in the magnanimity of what is intimate. Just as a modern shaman, he puts them out in the open through signs, which are symbols that represent cultures, gods, souls and characters that were crucial. His contemporary expressionism is imbued with pre-Columbian sources, in order to connect himself with the strength of the projection of the neo-expressive post-contemporary re-conduction.
