Short artistic biography of Quirine Kemper (Amsterdam, March 9, 1987):
Since I was a little girl, I have always been drawing and painting to get thoughts and dreams out of my head. Since 2009, I realized how crucial expressing myself artistically must have been for channeling my feelings. All pieces came together when I met Jamal Khamis, who taught me new ways to paint and convinced me to focus solely on art. I knew I could not ignore who I was. When I paint I allow my instincts to take over and only awake back into the real world when done, exhausted but relieved.
Had expositions in Amsterdam, Den Haag and Ellekom. Press appearance in 'Het Parool' (national daily) and a publication in 'International Contemporary Masters IV'. Website:
