Since the mid 70’s my photo based art has pushed the envelope technically and visually, often going beyond the “traditional” depiction of subjects, playing with what is real and what seems real but isn’t; the visionary and the transformative, re-presenting the world and inviting us to see otherwise.
Since 2009, I have been specializing in photobased digital painting combining photography and painting into a digital mixed media. This is a medium that is so new most of the general public have never seen it before.

Born in Prince Edward Island, Canada. BFA, B Ed Mount Allison University, under Alex Colville, majoring in painting, 1965. Studio in Ottawa, Canada since 1979. Professional photography since 1972. Both painting and photography until mid 80’s, then photobased thereafter. Stock photography published worldwide since 1987. Photo based work entirely digital since 2001.
