Born in Istanbul, Fügen began her academic journey at Istanbul University, studying English Literature, before earning a Philosophy degree from Anadolu University.
Her artistic path began in 1997 at Yıldız University’s Sabancı Cultural Center. In 2001, she collaborated with renowned sculptors Ayla and Erdoğan Sarma, honing her skills in both painting and sculpture.
Fügen’s work gained recognition in the 1999 Turkish Naval Force Contest, and she was awarded in the same contest in 2001. She has been a finalist and award recipient at international competitions, including Artavita World Wide Arts for her pieces "An" (2011) and "Etki" (2020). Her paintings and sculptures are featured in private collections.
From 2004 to 2010, she served on the board of the Painters Association and continues to contribute to art initiatives through her voluntary involvement with TEMA Foundation and TEMA K Group.
My artistic journey began with painting in 1998 and later evolved into sculpture. In my early works, I highlighted themes of family, education, and work. Over time, I’ve observed with sadness how technological advancements have led to a decline in human connection and friendship.
