Hollie Newton is an artist in San Diego CA. She paints primarily with oil on canvas and wood using multiple thin layers of paint which allow her emotional paintings to glow and change as the light around the art changes.
Newton did her BFA studies at San Francisco at Institute, the ivy league of art schools. Her early paintings addressed the serious issues of women's rights.
While Newton still consists herself an advocate for "the well being and wholeness of all" her imagery has become more playful, yet emotionally charged.
