Cheryl Paswater received her Master of Fine Arts in painting from Pratt Institute in 2007. She also earned a Bachelors of Fine Art in Studio Arts from Milikin University in Illinois. Her work is largely comprised of paintings and works on paper, however Paswater also works in printmaking and has recently begun working in sculpture and installation art. Cheryl is best known for her large scale, abstract, oil paintings on wood. Her work has been exhibited at various galleries including the Pratt Institute, Artists Space, Cannonball Press, the Harrison Center for the Arts, J.Martin Gallery and the Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art.
She has been an Artist in Residence at the Vermont Studio Center, Chashama and the Cooper Union Summer Residency Program and has been published in Studio Visit Magazine & Whitefish Review (2010). She works and lives in Brooklyn, New York.
