So much of who I am is reflected in my art. I take photos from my travels, and everyday life with the intention of using them as inspiration for my art. Starting my career as a printmaker I loved the flat 2 dimensionality of an image used in posters and prints and that is what I try to achieve in a painting now. Using an array of colors, with dark shadows and contrasts, my light filled paintings express a range of emotions to stimulate the eye and the mind. A humanistic narrative runs through them as I try to tell a story with each of them, a visual reconstruction of my life.
