Peter van de Wijngaart, born in Breda in 1971, lives and works since 1995 in Amsterdam. In his work he is always on the lookout for remnants of human interaction. You can see an overview of his work in the menu under Portfolio. Under Agenda you can see his recent exhibitions.

Peter van de Wijngaart: ‘The modern city seems to have lost its authenticity. Only very few places are left that have just emerged, or are made by the people themselves. The spaces that people share have been constructed, not by themselves, but by government. The city needs to be clean and neat. Public space is more and more becoming a facade fr outsiders, than a meeting ground for the people actually living there.‘
