Henry Witjika Young is an Australian Aboriginal Artist from the Pitjantjatjara tribe of Central Australia. Henry Witjika Young is a dot painter whose work embodies the Dreamtime stories, landscape, bush tucker and ceremony of his country (Irruntju WA and other APY (Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara) and culture.
His painting style is rooted in tradition although Henry has lately been experimenting with more abstract representations of his traditional stories and his country.Henry's colours reflect the natural palette of the Central Australian desert landscape. Witjika often paints his father's Dreaming, which is the caterpillar of Angumarra Piti (caterpillar hole).
Henry's work has been exhibited in various prize exhibitions and his work is fast gaining exposure in Australia capital cities.Henry has won a few prizes over the past year in Australia.
