Location: New Zealand
Artist Adele Souster crafts moments in time with her art, using the sky, earth, weather and shadow in oil paintings of New Zealand landscapes. "The paintings are of places that I have visited and they represent the impressions that they have left on me. Many are of the South Island, which I love, and there are mountains and seascapes. I always want to go back and revisit these places but I also want to see what is around the next corner."
Souster describes her paintings as contemporary realism and says she has found a foothold with her oil landscapes. "Her talent, artist's eye and colour sense successfully bring an instant in time to life for the viewer. Adele captures a moment of light and atmosphere and by adding only strategic detail she allows the viewer to feel as if they were there."
Souster's work has found an international market and her work is held in private and commercial collections.
