Born in Chiba Prefecture in 1984, Yusuke Yamada graduated from Musashino Art University. His work deals with problems of modern society, centered on "character beauty" (chisetsubi: a pure and unaffected beauty), a representative theme in the world of ukiyoe prints. Yamada adjusts colors, contour lines, and other means of expression based on theme.
