Veena Advani creates layered, abstract paintings that explore themes of relationship, identity and the natural world. Her signature style-mixed media with hand embroidery-nods to her earlier career as a fabric designer and embellisher to New York fashion houses.
Veena has collaborated on bespoke designs for brands including Pamella Roland, Marchesa, Isaac Mizrahi and Lanvin. Her couture work has appeared on runway shows and at the most celebrated red carpet events.
After several decades in New York, Veena recently returned to Mumbal to focus on painting, often integrating embroidery as a textural element. Her abstract landscape works have been sold to private collectors throughout India and worldwide.

Veena studied textile design at Sir JJ School of Art in Mumbai before launching her wildly successful design business in New York.
