I was born on the 30. Of January 1970 in Tegelen, the Netherlands.
I started out my education in art on the art academy in Maastricht but switched a year later to the Dance Academy Brabant in Tilburg. After some years and some wanderings, I found back my love for visual art and picked up my education at the State Academy for Visual Art in Arendonck, Belgium.
Dance has been an important influence and a returning subject throughout the years. I had to give up my own career in dance due to injuries. My passion for dance however, remained and every asset of dance, in all kinds of styles, is being used in my work.
But besides dance, other themes are being used in my paintings. Inspiration comes from everywhere. Colors, patterns, animal, people, but also social issues are captured in paintings, illustrations or mixed media work like collages. I work with lots of materials like oil paint, acrylics, pen, markers, spray paint or even materials that can be found around the house.
My signature can always be found in lively, bright, vibrant colors and most of the time great detailing.
