Location: Canada

Karin is a dutch born wildlife artist who grew up in Haarlem, the Netherlands. After marrying her English husband they spend the next 15 years living and working in countries like Egypt, Indonesia and the UK. They have been Canadian citizens since 1997.
She started out as a watercolor artist. Very quickly wildlife became her preferred subject matter. Once in Canada Karin started working with unusual canvases for her wildlfe art like rocks, boulders and wild turkey feathers.
She exhibited her feather art for many years at the Western Art Show of the Calgary Stampede, has done tv specials for HGTV and Chinese/Canadian TV and is one of the participating artists in the -unique to Canada- outdoor Artisan Gardens at the Bow Valley Ranch in Fish Creek Park in Calgary. Her work can be seen at her home studio, local art shows, and occasionally in (mostly west) Canadian galleries (Banff).
An artist is always changing and these days Karin produces mixed media wildlife art on larger canvases, as well as wildlife sculptures made out of European imported wood cellulose . Her statues are unique to North America.
