I was born in Piraeus, where I graduated from the
Greek-French high school "Jeanne d'Arc".

I studied Architecture in France, the 3 years studies in
Rouen, graduating from the Higher National School of Architecture Porte de la
Villette (ENSAPLV) in Paris.

During my studies in Rouen I had the opportunity to attend
the engraving course of Jacques Ramondot (professor of engraving at the National
School of Fine Arts) where I learned a lot about metal engraving. Then, during
my stay in France, I mainly worked with inks and engravings on metal.  After my return to Greece, I mainly worked
with oil paintings on canvas.

I have participated in many exhibitions in Greece and some
abroad and have won awards and distinctions in international competitions.

Statement

What I consider important in art is research.

I consider imagination to be the percentage of
freedom that each artist has to communicate with his subconscious.

That is why my approach is not usually thematic, but is
structured with automatic surrealist writing. It is the reason that many of my
works have no narrative. They are objects in themselves.

The space in my works is usually built with human bodies
that behave as independent events and that the relationship between them is not
a narrative of an event, but is the event itself. They build and define the
space thus creating Human Landscapes.

Even when some of my works seem to be thematic, they have
gone through many changes before they decide what they want to express. Many
times they are worked on for months or reworked after years when I feel that
the result has not been achieved, when I understand that they want to be
something else. Basically, I feel like my projects decide for themselves. I am merely
the intermediary, my conscious being an intermediary between the subconscious
and the materialized image.
