Murielle Sunier

Biography
Murielle Sunier is an accomplished renowned artist. First of all, she was noticed as graphic designer. Since 1999, she exhibited her posters in several international festivals.

Her artwork has been shown at the United Nations Office in Geneva, then one of her photographies has been projected on a screen of Times Square in New York. For more than fifteen years, she has been experiencing different techniques such as watercolour, Indian ink, oil painting and acrylic in an innovative manner.

Currently, she works on the reflection of the light by adding glass crystals, metallic pigments and glitter. Looking for new and original, she also incorporated in her work luminescent pigments or varnish. Some twinkling dust of stars... revealing the magic of the world... putting a sparkle in the spectators' eyes.

Murielle Sunier studied graphic design in art school of La Chaux-de-Fonds. Whereafter she decided to develop her multimedia skills. Resident of 'la Cité Horlogère', she began to design watches in 2006.

Luminescent Cosmos

Passionate by our cosmos, I have been lucky to talk with Mr. Englert about the particles. In 2013, he became a Nobel Prize winner. Nowadays, you are discovering the canvas that this exchange has inspired me.

Everything surrounding us is made up of atoms. This is the idea that I let reflect by the glass bubbles.
I am also interested in sacred geometry. 7 circles represent the 7 days of Creation.
Is there a message through geometry?

Watch designer, horology blew me the use of phosphorescent pigments. Admiring Jackson Pollock, I like letting my paintbrush drip. Dripping which provides an open field at random becomes a harmonious lace where each droplet finds its proper place. This process is fascinating.

The mirrors allow to integrate the viewer and his environment into the artwork. Everything coexists. Have a look around you, all is necessary and all has its place. Unique, you fill the whole universe with your presence.

Turning into Life “Turning into Life”

This painting expresses something coming to life and continuously rotating at the same time. Eternally moving, reflecting the wheel of changes. Sacred geometry incrusted in a galaxy. Seed of life expanding in flower of life and beyond. Thanks to its phosphorescent pigments, the painting itself is changing when the night falls down. Turning into light. The add of mirrors includes the viewer. Then the persons and the surroundings become a full part of the artwork which will never be exactly the same...

Cat's Eye “Cat's Eye”

Creation inspired by the photographs of the Cat’s Eye Nebula taken by Hubble telescope. The tracking of the two circles towards the central
point leaves its trace. Sacred geometry is embedded into the nebula. The seed of life is placed at the heart of the circles' fusion. This source of life gives birth to a beaming energy diffusion. Thanks to phosphorescent pigments, the painting itself evolves when the night falls. Lighting up. The addition of
mirrors includes the viewer. Thus the persons and their surroundings become a full part of the artwork which is never exactly the same...

The Eye of God “The Eye of God”

Artwork inspired by pictures of the Helix Nebula photographed by Hubble telescope. Its resemblance to a human eye has earned him the nickname of the Eye of God. Sacred geometry is embedded into the nebula. The seed of life is spread in the entire universe from the center of the eye. Is it God who created our world... The issue may arise. Thanks to phosphorescent pigments, the painting lights up when the night falls. This creation is meant to perpetually changing. The addition of mirrors includes the viewer. Thus the persons and their surroundings become a full part of the artwork which is never exactly the same...
