Between my father dragging me to every Civil War battlefield in the continental US, and my mother recognizing I might have some talent… I became an artist at an early age. I love our American history - the drama, the mountain man, the American Indian, the soldier, the cowboy. I read of it and I have to paint it. My pieces reflect my historical interest along with images that are reminiscent of my southern roots growing up in Alabama and later residing in Texas.

I work in oils mostly, in the studio and outside as a plein air artist. By painting what I love, my focus is to be the best artist I can be; to continue to grow and learn through my adventure in art.
