Gabriel Pacheco is a mixed-media artist from Jersey City who creates works informed by self-defi nition, cultural identity and the relationship that connects humans and nature. His sculptures and drawings reference the subtle balance between the organic and industrial through the juxtaposition of natural materials like
wood and factory-made metal and found materials, creating a hybrid form of recycled fine art.

Through his exploration, Pacheco provokes a reconsideration of what it means to create socially conscious art that works with rather than against the planet.
