Matteo Germano was born in Turin (Italy) on december the 23rd 1987. He early showed great interest in the art world and particularly for drawing with pencils and makers. In 2001 he enrolled at the first art school in Turin where he learned the basics of drawing and different artistic techniques such as charcoal, chalks and watercolors. Matteo graduated in 2006, and in 2008 he decided to enroll at the Academy of Fine Arts in Turin, choosing the painting course of Professor Gianfranco Rizzi. Here he approaches to oil painting and tries to improve his technical and artistic skills and starting to study the great masters of the Renaissance and Baroque periods. In 2011 ending the three-years course of painting with the highest score and he began the two-year specialist course painting under the guide of professor Giuseppe Leonardi. In 2013 he graduated in painting with a score of 110 L; in 2014 he met the hyper-realistic painter Francesco Capello that contributes to its artistic growth especially in the technical field.
EHXIBITIONS:
- After a period of artistic searching, on september 2015 he held his first solo exhibition at the town of Marentino (Italy).
- On june 2016, Matteo partecipeted in FESTIVAL COEUR DE FRANCE at the Château d'Ainay le Vieil. (France).
- On July 2016, he parcipeted at collective exhibition "IOESPONGO", at the Conserveria Pastis, Turin (Italy).
- On september 2016, he held the second solo exhibition “ THE POWER OF COLOUR” at the church of Saint Domenico of Alba (Italy).
- From November to December 2016, Matteo partecipeted at 40° Salon National Artistes Animaliers in Bry Sur Marne (France).
- From 12th March to 2nd April 2017, Matteo partecipated at the exhibition "BESTIAIRE", at the castle of La Roche sur Foron in northern Savoy, France.
- From 25th March to 22th April 2017, Matteo participated in the “Concorso Internazionale d'Arte I Dauni II edizione”, at Palazzo Bellusci in the city of Vieste. (Italy)
- On june 2017, Matteo partecipeted in 4° Festival Coeur de France at the Château d'Ainay le Vieil. (France)
- Selected among the 30 finalists at the ARTBOX PROJECT BASEL 1.0, international art competition held from 14 to 18 June 2017, at the exhibition hall of the EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg, Basel, Switzerland.
- On July 2017, Matteo was selected at the first edition of the “PREMIO INTERNAZIONALE ARTE MILANO”, the artistic exhibition organized by Sandro and Pietro Serradifalco, with the extraordinary participation of Vittorio Sgarbi, Marco Travaglio, Moni Ovadia. It took place at the Teatro del Verme in Milan, Italy.
- From the 8th July to the 2nd September 2017, Matteo partecipated at the exhibition "VIESTE ARTE ECCELLENZE IN MOSTRA III EDIZIONE", at Palazzo Bellusci in the city of Vieste. (Italy)
- From the 12th September to the 23th September 2017, Matteo partecipated at the exhibition "ECCELLENZE MUSEALI" with the partecipation of Vittorio Sgarbi, at the Palace Guglielmo II, in Monreale, Sicily, Italy.
- From the 15th September to the 28th September 2017, Matteo partecipated to international exhibition of ARANIMA, at the Gallery THUILLIER, Paris, France.
