Lily Lihting Li Kostrzewa

Lily Lihting Li Kostrzewa was born in Taiwan and studied at National Taiwan Normal University, Taipei. After twenty-five years in Taiwan, she moved to United States. Her formal education includes MFA degree in Modern painting, MA degree in Computer Graphics, BFA degree in Chinese Art and Art Education teaching certificate.
Lily’s paintings have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions internationally, including those at the Michigan Women's Historical Museum, Saginaw Art Museum, Michigan, Odessa Art Museum, Ukraine, 4 art Gallery, Chicago, Historical Museum of Infantry, Rome, Italy; ArtPrize in Grand Rapids, Michigan; The Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts, Grand Rapids, Michigan; UNESCO Art Gallery, Athens, Greece, Lansing Art Gallery, Michigan, International Art Expo New York City, Ben Navaee Gallery, Toronto, Canada, Hibiscus Children’s Center, Palm Beach, Florida, Los Angeles Center for Digital Art, California and Hsin-chu Culture Center, Taiwan.
Lily has created paintings and design for private and public settings for many individuals, businesses and organizations, including the Pier 1 Imports headquarters, Ft. Worth, Texas, Spectrum Juvenile Inc. Chicago and Hwalien Harbor State Park, Taiwan.
Lily has taught painting and workshops in colleges, public schools and community art centers, including Lake Forest College, Illinois, Central Michigan University, Michigan and Marywood University, Pennsylvania.
Many of her artwork has been published including such books as Studio Visit Magazine, Review Magazine, Chicago Art Magazine, the International Dictionary of Artists, the Art in America Annual Guide, International Contemporary artists, Toronto East Community Art Project as well as online at Worldnews.com.

Lily Lihting Li Kostrzewa is a contemporary fine artist who specializing in cross-cultural acrylic painting. Lily, a Taiwan-born artist, her style of painting is lush, imaginative and cultural with simple brushstrokes exhibiting complicate layers of colors. Lily now lives and paints in Michigan, her artwork has been exhibited in Ukraine, Jordan, Taiwan, Austria, Canada, Greece, Italy and many states in the USA, Through her senses she creates art to express life's journey as well as the beauty of nature. Her color is expressive from the influence of study in German Expressionism, and her ink-like brush strokes on her painting is deep rooted in her Chinese culture and the years of training in Chinese Art.
