Dominique Jurić was born in Zagreb. After a secondary education in the Culture and Art Centre she enrolled in the course of art history and ethnology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. She took her degree in 1991, having presented a dissertation, supervised by Professor Ivo Maroević, on the subject “Private Gallery Activity with Special Reference to Zagreb.”
In 1988 she took part in the work of the international museological course “A museological approach to the integrated use of cultural heritage” in Dubrovnik, and enrolled in the Academy of Fine Arts in 1993, painting major in the educational section, class of Eugen Kokot.
Dominique is the only student in the long history of the Academy of Fine Arts to have graduated in stained glass, which was featured in her graduation show in the Forum Gallery.
Since she particularly cultivates this traditional technique in her artistic expression, she spent time on further studies in stays in France and Switzerland.
In 1999 she took part in the work of the “3eme Forum international sur la conservation et la technologie du vitrail historique” in Fribourg. In the same year she took a seminar in the Centre International du Vitrail in Chartres, on the theme “Peinture sur verre, grisaille”.
She has had 26 solo and taken part in 77 collective exhibitions at home and abroad.
As well as painting, she is engaged in design and art workshops for children.
She is a member of the artists association HDLU, and lives and works in Zagreb.
