Bardene was born and raised in California and has lived most of her life in Laguna Beach, California. She is avid about the ocean and all the pleasures and beauty it brings to our lives. Check out her beautiful beach paintings that include sunbathers, snorkelers, board surfers and more.

She is also interested in the entertainment industry with it's divas on screen and on stage. She has painted many dancers including Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, Michael Jackson, couples tangoing the night away, and fan dancers wooing their audiences.

The series on hiking is a stunner too. Check out the hikers in the Grand Canyon, High Sierras and the desert of the South West.

Receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Pomona College, gaining her teaching credential in fine art at UCI, working at both the Pasadena Art Museum for the Curator of Fine Prints and at the Laguna Art Museum as a Member of the Collections Committee, guiding OCCCA (Orange County Center for Contemporary Art) as Director, owning an art gallery in Laguna Beach and exhibiting in Museum, Galleries, and venues in California, Arizona, and Oregon have been many of her accomplishments in the art field. Bardene also has an ongoing archive as a California, woman sculptor and painter at the Smithsonian Institution.
