Ingrid Solesvik from Norway works with water soluble media, i.e. water color, mixed media or acrylics. Lately she has been creating abstract works, sometimes with recognizable elements. Before creating works for exhibitions she spends time thinking about the given theme. The limitation of a theme inspires and sharpens her imagination and influences the choice of colours and technique to create the mood she needs to express her feelings.
She has an artistic background Studying Fine Art and has studied with a number local and international artists. Exhibitions in Liverpool, England; Antwerp and Brussels, Belgium; Florence, Italy; Lisbon and Portimao, Portugal, New York, as well as several exhibitions in Norway. A member of Norwegian Independent Artist Association and Nordic Water Colour Association, Winsor & Newton Featured Artist and represented in various collections in Norway, England (UK) and USA.
Abstract acrylic paintings on canvas created during 2011. Two of the paintings in the Flow-series, Flow IV and II, are is accepted for the Pre-biennale April 2011 in Venice, Italy, a juried exhibition.
