Farahnaz Tafreshi was born and grew up in Tehran, Iran and graduated in Fine Arts at Art University, Tehran. She graduated at OCAD University, Toronto, Canada majoring in Drawing and Painting and received scholarship for her post-graduation OCAD University’s Florence, Italy program. Currently, she is a student at Niagara University NY, USA majoring Master of Art: Interdisciplinary studies. About 30 major very large works of her paintings donated to The “ArtWorksforCancer” Foundation in 2017. Some of her work already placed in The Family Care Support Unit at The Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. During 27 years of her experience, she has worked about #370 pieces big painting, her artworks has been exhibited at public and private galleries in Iran, Europe and North America and mostly sold to privet collectors. She has been engaged in teaching art at public high school and college. Her current body of work is heavily influenced by the experience of traveling. Due to political persecution in her country many of her art pieces have been lost and today there is no way of proving the major recognition she had as an artist in her home country. Her reputation in the art community today is the one of the leading voices in Abstract painting.
