Linda Halsey uses subconscious imagery and ethereal color tones to create dream worlds where fantasy characters represent emotional states. Her whimsical characters serve as disguised self portraits that are a reflection of her own emotions and experiences. She draws inspiration from a variety of sources, including nature, daydreams, music, fairy tales, popular culture, and and her own life events. Linda works in a variety of media, though most often she favors oil paints and digital painting. Her work has been featured in Catapult art magazine and Alpha Mary magazine, and she exhibits work in San Diego and Los Angeles.
