Julia Chu was born in 1941 in China, and has lived in USA for 30 years. Although she has training and a career in engineering area in China and U.S.A. , but she always been a self-taught freelance artist. In 2003 she official begun selling her watercolor which now belongs to numerous private collections in North America. Actively exhibiting, Chu has two solo exhibitions in U.S.and published two books with her watercolors in U.S.and participated in five groups Juried exhibitions in U.S. every year. The recipient of notable awards. In 2014 her 10 watercolor paintings were published in “International Contemporary Masters” Volume. 9. by the U.S.A. “World Wide Art Book” .In Apr.2015,Her paintings ”Mountain Horse Return to Mountain” is selected to participate international exhibition at “Asia Invitation Art Exhibition in Seoul, Korea 2015” and her painting “Peacefulness” is selected to participate international exhibition at “AreExpo Barcelona 2 “ in Spain .
